I am a proud graduate of the Florida A&M University College of  Pharmacy, where the legacy of Excellence still remains deep-rooted. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and the National Diamondback (FAMU) Pharmacy Alumni Council (NDPAC) where I served in many positions. I have received numerous awards including: Distinguish Service Award, Outstanding Pharmacist of the Year, and The Unsung Hero Award.  I have been featured in many published articles including the Tampa Bay Business Journal as one of the Top Minority Persons of the Year.

I am a member of Exciting Central Tampa Baptist Church and volunteer in health education activities.  I have participated in many roles throughout the years including Deaconess Ministry, Youth Department advisor & liaison, Vacation Bible School volunteer and Girl Scout leader.  I am focusing most of my free time educating the community about health, wellness and lifestyle changes that can conquer the obesity epidemic.

​I am happily married to Keith L. Pope, and have two beautiful adult daughters Adrianne and Brittany Bate, as well as a proud pet parent to Mr. Max, the cat.​
 

My Philosophy

I believe that to truly honor the great leaders that paved the roads for me to travel is to leave a legacy equally as noble. A Legacy of Greatness: Great Kindness, Great Leadership, Great Vision, Great Courage and Great Love. This is my way of honoring the sacrifices of the great trailblazers of the past and my ancestors.

The Bible says that “a wise man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.”  A legacy is something you leave behind that will benefit others perhaps those yet unborn.
